When producing graphics output with the ODS PDF statement, specifying the VSIZE option in a GOPTIONS statement without the HSIZE option automatically adjusts HSIZE (and vice versa). For example, a graph produced with the following statements will have a smaller horizontal size than expected:

goptions reset=goptions device=sasprtc vsize=4in;

ods _all_ close;   
ods pdf file='sastest.pdf';

To circumvent the problem, always specify the HSIZE option in a GOPTIONS statement when specifying the VSIZE graphics option (and vice versa).
